James Dixon is a Canberra-based writer and accredited editor. He has written and edited reports, green papers, and white papers for many Australian Government departments. His other clients include federal and state government agencies, large economics and science consultancies, some notable foreign policy and national security think tanks, and various international organisations and researchers.

Before he became a full-time editor, James was a high school teacher, a union official, a director of a phototypesetting company, and one of two electronic systems managers for Australia’s largest magazine publishing company. James has a reputation for using clear, unambiguous, plain English. When he writes or edits a piece of work, even the most technical content is transformed into straight-forward and comprehensible prose.
