Lisa Curtis-Wendlandt, MA, PhD

“Ideas are nothing unless we are able to build a connection with people who can be inspired by them.” It’s a realisation a younger Lisa had while studying philosophy and English philology at university in her native Germany. After sitting through a dirge of monotonous academic presentations she observed one speaker do something different. “He posed a question, looked into our eyes and strode around the room. He was embodying and performing the ideas and it made it so interesting and engaging.”

Since then, Lisa has made it her mission to share the powerful art of storytelling with as many academic professionals as she can. As well as authoring her own award-winning publications in top-tier international journals, she has helped numerous scholars secure prizes, fellowships, grants, and awards through her coaching and text minding company Mind Your Way, which she founded in 2011 while completing postdoctoral research in Philosophy at Monash University. Now an ICF-accredited Professional Certified Coach, EDISC Accredited Consultant (Level 2), and certified NLP practitioner, Lisa is passionate about bringing the best out of her diverse range of clients, who include senior academic teams, professional management staff, and early career researchers.
